Special Interest Vehicle Concession Scheme

Queensland Transport Main Roads provides a reduced price registration scheme for vehicles that are more than 30 years old. Lower registration and CTP costs apply. Unlike other States, there is no log book requirement however Queensland restricts usage to Club events and some other usage. Other States typically have a log book requirement as they allow so many days/kilometres of “free” use.

Here is a comparison between normal (Full) rego, seniors/pensioners rego and the SIVCS rego.

You can only have a single Senior / Pension concessional registration per couple, but the SIVCS concession can be applied to multiple vehicles. You cannot stack concessions, but you can have Seniors/Pension on your daily driver and SIVCS on your club car/s.
